Cheerleading Coach
This position leads beginner level cheerleading classes for children ages 6–11, focusing on the fundamentals of cheerleading including motions, jumps, stunts, beginner tumbling, and simple routines. This role is responsible for planning and instructing engaging, age-appropriate lessons that build confidence, coordination, and team spirit. Must have a passion for working with children and a basic foundation in cheerleading techniques.
Y-Time Afterschool Program Lead Teacher
Under the guidance of the Youth Development Director, the Lead Teacher will as with all aspects of planning, organizing and implementation of the Y-time Afterschool Program that reflect the needs and interests of school-aged children. The Lead teacher is responsible for helping to maintain a safe and engaging afterschool program; ensuring a high level of program quality and working to establish a positive relationship with all program participants and their families.
Y-Time After School Support Staff
Support staff will assist the youth in the afterschool with all program activities under the guidance of the Lead Teacher. Will help create a welcoming and encouraging environment for our afterschool participants. Duties include but are not limited to homework assistance, assisting with art projects, group games, gym activities, taking children to and from various YMCA classes.
Childwatch Caretaker
JOB TYPE: PART-TIME
Position Summary:
The North Suburban YMCA seeks responsible individuals to work in our Childwatch babysitting area. Responsible for the care of children while their parents are working out. This individual must enjoy working with children and work well in a team setting. Prior experience working with children is a must. Hours of employment will vary and flexibility is a plus.
Bus Driver

If you're dependable, friendly, and love working with kids, this 2–3 hour weekday role (Monday–Friday) is a great way to be part of something bigger. You’ll drive our 14-passenger mini bus, ensure safe and timely pickups, and help create a positive experience the kids look forward to every day!
