The YMCA provides a variety of programs, resources, and support for people of all ages and backgrounds that fuel positive change for themselves and their communities.

At the Y, we take immense pride in our work to strengthen the community and help all of us be our best selves. This comes in the form of Community and Family Events, Community programming like our YMCA Education Series (Y.E.S.), our Community Art Gallery, and more! Everything we do is in service of making sure people and communities thrive.

ADULT PROGRAMMING

The NSYMCA has a variety of program initiatives geared toward adult interests and concerns. Under the direction of Adult Programming Coordinator Karen Brownlee, these programs will provide educational opportunities, social support, and wellness enhancement for adults and seniors on a broad community level.

YMCA EDUCATION SERIES

The YMCA EDUCATION SERIES (Y.E.S.), formerly the Adult Education Series, is a series of presentations offered by experts in their field who share their expertise regarding topics of interest to our community as free live programs which are also recorded as podcasts and made available on the NSYMCA YouTube Platform.

To provide individuals in Northbrook and the surrounding areas with programs and tools that will help them become healthier, more connected and confident. We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our community and each other. Every day, we work side-by-side with you, our neighbors, throughout 15 surrounding communities to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
