The YMCA provides a variety of programs, resources, and support for people of all ages and backgrounds that fuel positive change for themselves and their communities.
At the Y, we take immense pride in our work to strengthen the community and help all of us be our best selves. This comes in the form of Community and Family Events, Community programming like our YMCA Education Series (YES), our Community Art Gallery, and more! Everything we do is in service of making sure people and communities thrive.
The North Suburban YMCA has a variety of program initiatives geared toward adult interests and concerns. Under the direction of Adult Programming Coordinator Karen Brownlee, these programs will provide educational opportunities, social support, and wellness enhancement for adults and seniors on a broad community level.
Community Art Gallery
Young children are self-conscious and look towards others to see what’s acceptable. We encourage them to develop their own individual imaginations and artistic style while introducing many different mediums to explore in a fun and safe environment.
YMCA Education Series
The YMCA EDUCATION SERIES (YES), formerly the Adult Education Series, is a series of presentations offered by experts in their field who share their expertise regarding topics of interest to our community as free live programs which are also recorded as podcasts and made available on the NSYMCA YouTube Platform.
NSYMCA Adventure Guides is a family program designed to strengthen the relationship between parent and child through a journey that occurs within the context of a small group community.
