Morgan Kang
Hi, I'm Morgan, and I am a rising senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying Industrial Design with a minor in Business. My summer internship at the NSYMCA has taught me far more design and marketing-based knowledge than I thought! This opportunity has opened my eyes to the intricate way of eye flow through graphic design but also the nitty-gritty of everything it takes to run a successful business. My experiences with the staff and friends I've made at the Y will help me further my opportunities as well as my education for an exciting future!
Morgan Toronyi
Hey! I’m Morgan, and I was the Motion Graphics Intern for the NSYMCA this summer. I’m an aspiring animator, and I go to The Ohio State University to study Moving Image Production. This Fall I’ll be a third-year student. I came all the way from Geneva to work this summer, but the drive was more than worth it. I got to work on animations and videos for the NSYMCA which allowed me to become so much more confident in my skills. Beyond just animating, I learned so much about marketing and brand identity while at the NSYMCA. Being able to get creative, while still adhering to the Y brand was a fun challenge.
I had an amazing experience getting to know the staff and other interns, and I’m so grateful to have been able to make these connections. I hope everyone is able to enjoy the videos I made for the Y, and I’m excited to use this experience to help me this coming school year.
Jamie Goldman
My name is Jamie Goldman and I am a rising Junior at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. My Internship at the Y has provided me with amazing exposure to the real world and how graphic design and marketing impact it as well as a great learning experience. I have learned a lot over the past several weeks both from my mentors as well as my fellow interns. It has been so incredible to be surrounded by people who have the same interests and goals as I do and to be able to learn from them. I am looking forward to using the experience and knowledge that I have gained over the past several weeks in my future endeavors both educationally as well as professionally. I am excited to use my projects in my portfolio as well to showcase my improvement throughout this summer.
