Elder Law Attorney, Matt Margolis, will break down Medicaid eligibility for an individual moving into a long term care facility and what to be mindful of during (and before) the application process.
Medicaid in 2022: Applying for Medicaid now is more complicated than it was in the past. More paperwork and documentation has to be provided and the State of IL presumes that every applicant has reviewed all of the policy provisions in great detail prior. Being prepared and having an understanding of the “ins and outs” can prove to be invaluable when going through this process for a loved one.
