Falls are common and costly—but they are preventable. This program provides tools to reduce fall risk, improve strength, flexibility, and balance, and enhance overall safety. Sponsored by North Suburban YMCA, Illinois Bone and Joint Institute and in collaboration with the Glenview Fire Department. In partnership with the Village of Glenview Senior Services and North Shore Senior Center.
YOU WILL LEARN

- Critical fall statistics
- Education regarding why falls happen
- Suggestions about how to mitigate fall risk
- Instruction on how to self-assess, and what to do after a fall
- The opportunity to participate in exercises to build strength, increase flexibility, and improve balance to prevent falls
- Take-home exercises to practice regularly
- A "to-do" list of fall prevention suggestions
- Q&A with presenters
