Come celebrate and honor Black History Month with the North Suburban YMCA. Black History Month is a federally recognized celebration during the month of February, which recognizes the impact African Americans have had and the contributions they have made in the United States.

The DEI committee is a collective of NSYMCA staff and board members helping bring to life our mission of equity for all.
Our conversation will focus on:
- Showcase African American contributions through the history of the YMCA
Recognize historical past that YMCA was not immune to racial segregation in its onset
