North Suburban YMCA Community Gallery Reopens

Enhanced Watercolors Class Paintings Featured in September

Northbrook, IL: September 2021 – The North Suburban YMCA has reopened its Community Art Gallery with a show of dramatic watercolor paintings by Y art teacher Fran Vail, and art students Karen Bonner and Tegwen Conzemius. To commemorate the reopening, the public is invited to a free reception in the gallery, located at 2705 Techny Rd. in Northbrook, on Friday, September 24th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Space is limited and masks are mandatory.

“There are a lot of art students who have been taking the watercolor class from Fran Vail for several years. It’s a fun way to meet new people, paint in a relaxed atmosphere, and learn something new,” said Cathie Winnie, the NSYMCA’s Visual Arts Director. The Enhanced Watercolor class is offered on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm and can be attended virtually via Zoom or in person. To register visit nsymca.org.

The North Suburban YMCA’s Community Galleries support the local arts community by giving it a place to show and sell their works. For more information about the gallery contact Cathie Winnie at [email protected].
