Scuba Classes

• SCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) Ages 12 years-Adult,
  Maximum enrollment 10.
• Skin Diving Ages 10 years - Adult
• Dive Refreshed A one-time refresher course for those already certified in SCUBA diving.

Lifeguarding

• The North Suburban YMCA offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Training on Thursday nights for 9 Weeks 6:30 - 10:00 pm during the Fall, Winter and Spring Sessions.

Merit Badge Training/Group Special Events

• Reserve the NSYMCA Aquatics Department. for youth group activities and special events. Enjoy safety education, merit badge training, clinics, and service projects.

American Red Cross The North Suburban YMCA is pleased to announce its new partnership with the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago.  The YMCA will be host to monthly trainings facilitated by the American Red Cross. Class offerings will include:

• Babysitting (11 to 15 years old)
  This course will help you: care for children and infants; become a good leader and role model; make good decisions and solve problems; keep the children you babysit and yourself safe; learn to handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents; write resumes; and work on interviewing skills.
• Babysitting Boot Camp This class combines the babysitting class with CPR and First Aid.
• CPR-AED Training / First Aid Training
• Lifeguard Training
