SportsKids Camp (Ages: Entering 1st Grade – 5th Grade)
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: AM only: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / PM only: 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
AM and PM: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Weeks offered: 2 –10
Session length: 1 week
SportsKids Camp has morning, afternoon and full day options. You will be divided into teams with team names, logos and
colors. Teams earn points for being a team player, respecting peers and counselors, and displaying good "SportsKidShip".
Morning Campers will enjoy traditional games like: Baseball; Volleyball; Basketball; Soccer.
Afternoon Campers will focus on non-traditional games like: Dodgeball; Nukem; Kickball; Campture the Flag. Afternoon Campers will also enjoy swim time in the NSYMCA pool.
Extended Camp (Ages: Entering K – 5th Grade)
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: AM only: 7:30–9:00 AM / PM only: 4:00–6:00 PM
AM and PM: 7:30–9:00 AM and 4:00–6:00 PM

Session length: 1 week
For the camper with working parents, we offer supervised care from 7:30-9:00 AM and 4:00-6:00 PM. This is a time of supervised play: Gym games; Books; Puzzles; Board Games; Snack (in PM care); Outdoor play.
Gymnastics Camp (Ages: Entering 1st through 5th Grade)
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Weeks offered: 2+3, 4+5, 6+7, 8+9
(Due to limited availability at GBN, weeks 8+9 may be on–site for
tumbling and floor exercise. Location to be announced)
Session length: 2 weeks
Gymnastics Camp is held off-site at Glenbrook North High School, 2300 Shermer Road, Northbrook. Gymnastics Camp is open for all recreational skill levels and designed to teach basic fundamentals through floor, uneven bars, balance beam and vault. The day includes: Warm ups; Instruction; Small Group Skill Work; Snacks.

Our most popular camp! Explore the Chicagoland area like you’ve never seen it before. Activities include: Laser tag; City tours; Water parks; Canoeing; Ice skating; Team building.
Trips are TBD, but a great time is guaranteed! Keep your eyes open and your schedule flexible for the possibility of an overnight and/or extended day activities. Over the course of the summer trips may be repeated.

Musical Theatre (Ages: 8-13 years old)

Come put on a show! Campers will learn the basics of theatre while rehearsing and performing a musical. Students will also help design the costumes, props and sets! Camp ends with a 30 minute performance of a musical:

Music Video Camp (Ages: 8-13 years old)

Direct, choreograph and star in your very own music video! Campers will be videotaped performing solos, duets and ensemble numbers. They will also design their own costumes, sets and cd cover artwork.

Club Improv (Ages: 8-13 years old)

Improvisation is the key to unlocking imagination! Join us for a fun filled, fast paced camp that includes tons of improvisation games. The final performance will be similar to the popular tv show Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

Intro to Film (Ages: 8-13 years old)

Want to be a movie star? Come join us for a fast paced look at directing and acting in a movie! Campers will be in front of and behind the camera to learn the glamorous art of film acting.

• Choose, rehearse and film a scene
CIT Program-Counselors In Training
Ages: Entering 9th-10th Grades
Too old for day camp, but too young to be a camp counselor? Come and be a part of our exciting new counselor-in-training program! Applicants will work directly with the Camp Directors and Assistant Directors and will be placed with a senior counselor for the summer. CIT’s may serve as referees in games, as team captains, as group leaders, and as assistants in specialty areas such as arts and crafts or music. Please apply on the camp registration form and the Camp Director will set up a meeting time. All of this would prepare a CIT to become an assistant counselor after 10th grade.

Lunch Bunch
Ages: 2 years old to entering 5th Grade
Send lunch and a drink along with your child, for this supervised lunch program between camps. One day each week, Lunch
Bunch will receive a Special Lunch along with the rest of the YMCA campers.
