Upon successful completion of the course students will
receive the following
certifications:
*American Red Cross Lifeguarding
*First Aid
*CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
Students must show proof of age and pass swimming pretest which includes a continuous 300 yard swim with front crawl and breaststroke; and a timed deep water 10 pound brick retrieval drill. If a student fails the pretest, a refund will be issued less a $20 admin fee.

Learn to use mask, fins and snorkel properly. This is a great class for adults and children that have passed the Flying Fish level of swim classes. Children 10 - 15 years old must have a parent present.

YMCA certified instructors will train you in the techniques, skills and knowledge required to enjoy diving with safety.
YMCA certifications accepted all over the world.
Prerequisites: 12 - 15 years of age can register with parental approval, parent must attend all lectures and pool work; 16 - 17 years of age, guardian must sign waiver; 18 years and up, no restrictions. Must be in good medical condition and must pass a swim test on the first night of class. The test consists of 300 yards of continuous swimming and treading water for 10 minutes. The NSYMCA provides all equipment needed during class except mask, fins, snorkel and book that must be purchased after the first class.
